    whey at night?

    HI everyone,

    is it ok to have a whey protein shake at night (like as last meal before bed)?

    yes it is okay to have a whey protein shake at night, you wont gain weight form eating it at night, just make sure you dont add any simple carbs toit such as table sugar and u'll be fine. You can add alittle fruit, but stay away from really strarchy fruits like bananas. ur best bet if u want to add fruit in the shake is berries.

    I don't agree with this. I wouldn't eat fruit before bed. Fruit IS a simple carbs. Having a shake at your last meal is okay but not optimal. If you really want a shake add a fat source to it to slow digestion since a shake is very fast digesting (you should never drink it alone anyway without adding either a carb or a fat source). Add something like almonds, natural peanut butter, flaxseed oil etc..

    Optimally before bed you want a slow digesting protein (casein) to last you through the night. Have something like cottage cheese + a fat source. That would be ideal.

    T: Off
    W: Full body workout
    T: Off
    F: Off
    S: Full body workout
    S: OFF

    Walk dog 1 hour a day.

    DIET
    Protein and good fats, low carb

    Goal: Loose fat and gain muscle!

    Just do it!

    It all depends on your goal. Fat loss or muscle gain??

    I would have a protein shake with some healthy fats (peanut butter is my 1'st choice)

    I do it sometime if i didn't get enough food through out the day or i had early dinner and feel hungry. Just mix with water. Why not?
