Time for Basketball! (B-ball.. if you're nasty LOL)
So what's the deal peeps? Who follows the most exciting, action packed game in sports? Hmmmm??
What do you know? Who do you pick??
The experts and analysts are already picking the Celtics to come out of the East for the Championship?? Wow!!
Some are counting on San Antonio to repeat?? Uh oh!!
Will Kobe end up playing in another city before the regular season starts?? Huh??
And of the NCAA?? Can Florida make a run at a repeat without Horford and Noah?
Is Kansas State sportin' the next Kevin Durant in a kid named Michael Beasley? He tore it up at the McDonald's game?
How about UConn? Will the famed super team of years past, led by the legendary Jim Calhoun, continue to suck in the mid 2K's
Tune in and see.. chumps!!

Could actually care less about Kobe. Him and some others in the league have turned alot of us off. NBA's credible ball players went out the door when Jorden left the league. I think that was the last of them. Yes, there are some good ones out there....but the majority anymore has taken the 'sport' out of basketball. No appreciation anymore IMO. Take the Olympic status...none of the 'best' want to play the Olympic team anymore out of fear of injury or they don't get paid to do that. Jordan and the likes were proud to play for our country and represent us. I still think we need to give this back to the college players where they would appreciate playing and representing our country.
Now.....lets talk NCAA. I will watch that all weekend long. Florida....no way will make it without them. Hated to see them leave...but the money talks. And as for the Finals???? As always...its anyones game come tournament time.

Deeeee-troit Baaaaaaasketball!
Pistons over the Spurs in 5. You heard it here first.
Pistons over the Bulls in 7. The Celtics are going to have all sorts of issues working together. I'm guessing if they make the playoffs, they'll be out in the first round. Over-rated.

I couldn't believe all the boooooos I heard last night when Kobe was introduced.
It might very well be sooner than you think. Magic was quoted to say that there will be some clarity of this situation in about a week. Either way, something needs to happen.
We shall see......

I definitely see what you're saying here. The ones that appear to be the bad apples do taint the entire barrel for a lot of people.
There are still alot of quality players in the league today though, that still bring honor to the game. Players such as Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Ben Wallace, Amare Stoudemire, LeBron James.. guys that keep their mouths shut and play good ball. They're still out there.
Our Olympic Team also showed some tremendous promise this year at the FIBA's. We qualified handily for the '08 Olympics by utterly stomping all of the competition. No one even came close. Not one game.. not even a period was lost. The boys definitely represented our country proudly this year. Get ready for some serious ball next summer!
I definitely agree with you about Florida. Losing three starters to the first round of the NBA draft speaks alot about the talent they had.. but also speaks about their chances of winning another championship this year! I'm hoping they can at least rank!
What I'm wondering is who the heck Ohio State has left in the roster that has convinced the preseason pollsters that they still belong in the Number 1 spot after losing 3 starters to the NBA, including the Number 1 draft pick!

Dang that's bold bro! LOL
You got Detroit taking it home without Ben Wallace? That basically left them with Chauncey and Rasheed to carry the team. I like that Afflalo kid, I'm looking forward to seeing what he does!
I'm REAL curious about the Celtics with their new big three. I've always believed that all you need are three outstanding players on a team to win a championship. Maybe two, with a third one that knows how to step up at the right time. The question is, are these the three?

Tex man you know I love talkin' smack with you bro. And you're makin' it easy for me with that pick.
Yao Ming and TMac.. that's it. They'll get you to the playoffs, but they need somebody else to step up if y'all want to advance

Yeah I'm definitely waiting to see what's going to happen here. I would love to see him in the East! The Atlantic East.. not the Midwest East! LOL

Yeah they were booing the fact that he won't be there much longer. They really love him, that's why they started cheering in the end. They can't deny he came to play!

Yeah, the first time in several years that has happened too. Hope its a sign of the times.
I totally forgot that Ohio St. lost them too! I was not happy to see my man from Indiana here go to the pro's this quick. I was really looking forward to seeing him dominate the NCAA and set some college records. Guess we will never know now. College career could have been really something for him to look back on.

Michael, Are you an NC fan? We play Dec. 1.
UK is going to be young and small, but hopefully the new coach will be running them ragged.

I don't pay much attention to basketball, but I did attend a Gamecock/Kentucky game last year (I think -- maybe the year before -- my memory is going) and saw Ashley Judd there. It was kind of cool.
I don't think the Gamecocks are supposed to do much, but I met their coach at a cookout recently and he's a nice man. I met a bunch of the players also. They're a young team.
Brian used to be a big Celtics fan, so maybe he'll pay more attention if they end up doing better. He says he think the Spurs will be the best.
I used to play H-O-R-S-E with my brothers. That's about the extent of my basketball experience. I do remember watching Frank McGuire coach the Gamecocks back when they were good many years ago.

My family, especially my dad and brother, are huge Aggie fans. When Gillespie left for Kentucky my dad went into mourning.

I still am in mourning. That guy did an unbelievable job turning the Fighting Texas Aggie program around. I look forward to the coming season.
Right! I think we'll hold our own. We're the strongest we've been since we've had T-Mac and Yao. If we stay healthy we should have a great season.
