Bedtime shake and ZMA usage?
Searched for a while and couldn't seem to find what I was looking for.
Now anyone with experience/knowledge of ZMA knows that you can't take it with any calcium, as the calcium blocks the receptors that the Zinc requires, and thus renders the formula nearly worthless.
However, I personally do not wish to go to bed on an empty stomach to use my ZMA. Is it possible to take ZMA and a shake in such a way as to get the full effects of the ZMA, yet still having a shake before going to sleep?
I was thinking perhaps, since ZMA should be taken 30-60 minutes before sleeping, that if you took the ZMA an hour before going to bed, and had a shake DIRECTLY before sleeping(hence, an hour After your ZMA) that it might allow the Zinc time to be absorbed effectively before ingesting calcium via shake.
However, I could find no indication of the effectiveness/validity of such a method. I hope that it would/will work, but am unsure. I would much prefer to sleep with something in my stomach, not the empty stomach that ZMA instructs to take it on.
Does anyone know about this? Would this render the ZMA useless? Minimize the effectiveness of ZMA? Any other effects? Any and all thoughts and comments would be most greatly appreciated, thank you.
