NFL - What team to follow...
Being a Brit its a bit tricky to follow American Football but the games I have seen I have always enjoyed, I have got 4/5 games from week8 on download via bittorrent but doing that every week will be a mission.
What I need is one team to follow...
Question is which one?
I leave it to you guys to argue.

The Green Bay Packers.
They are the ONLY TEAM in professional sports that is community owned.
12 NFL championships (most in the NFL)
The most exciteing player in the NFL to watch (Brett Favre)
need I say more, because there is more.....

Pick a team that you enjoy because of their style of play and the players themselves, not just b/c of their record. I personally am a Falcons fan, but I hate our team this year b/c our coach is a bum-oh well, can't be a fairweather fan....right?

Bump
Watch several different games and find a team that you enjoy watching the most. Find a quarterback whose style you can identify with and a hard hitting defense. Honestly, there's no question that the most exciting team in football right now is the Patriots, but still...shop around and find what you like.

if you want to watch a juggernaut kick everyone's ass by 21+ points week in, week out, watch the pats. if you want more equal, duking it out to the end sorts of games, id go with the packers
the pats-colts game this sunday is about as hyped up as any games will be this season, so definitely watch that

Cleveland Browns
The Browns have the biggest worldwide fanbase of any NFL team. Search "Browns Backers Worldwide." I'm sure you can find a Browns Backers bar to watch a game at, especially in England.
They have them all over, Columbia, Japan, Australia, etc.

...because the Packer fans stated reasons for Green Bay's greatest. Cowboys fans have just said "Cowboys!". I guess that speaks volumes about each teams fan base.

If you want a team that has the best running game this year and for years to come and not to mention one of the top run defenses, go with the Vikings. If you enjoy watching teams pass then I would stay away from the purple and gold (Vikings colors)

A good team to follow is Pitt. They never really let you down, they have a very solid organization and very solid players.
But I like to start off following a team that is facing a little adversity, so I start with the bad times and hopefullly soon enough it will lead to good times and they will be much more sweeter, than say if you were team was always on top.
Then when the team is loosing or facing some **** you won't feel the need to stick with them, because you won't have any hometown loyalty or anything like that.
So find a team you like to watch play, or a certain player that you like to watch and follow that team.
I'm a CJ fan really and looking at the Bengals, they really have all the tools in place they just aren't using them right, so soon enough (next year maybe) they'll be winning games or whatever.
So i guess you can say I'm a Bengals fan, but i've been following the bills just cause it's not too far from me to go and watch games, same with teh detroit lions (used to follow them awhile back).

DO NOT BE A FRONT RUNNER! it looks like ****. dont be a colts, pats, cowboys, or packers fan.
if i was u i would pick an up and coming team, a team with upside, going in the right direction, but not a great team. like someone else said, pick a team with a style u like.
a couple good teams to pick now would be the browns, cardinals, vikings (once they get a coach), lions, or titans.
but ya dont go with cellar dwellers, and definetly dont be a frontrunner and pick the better teams, really weak IMO, and im a cowboys fan.

THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!
Regardless of where you live in the world, you will be able to watch their games and find fellow fans. Their history is tremendous and there will never be players that overshadow the team. You will learn the fundamentals about what it takes to be a good football team and not about the current trends that work but won't in the future.
Don't hop on the bandwagons of teams whose "strong" fanbase is only there when they are winning. And for the Packers, they are Green Bay's team, not anyone else's.
edit: PLUS.... WE HAVE BIG BEN!!!!!!!!
