well, just out of health reasons and that i am cutting (also now learning my family has a history of diabetes) i am trying to avoid sugars.
problem is i love milk (i use skim) but it still has like 8g per cup, and i'll have 3 or 4 cups per day. also just from other foods. so how much sugar do most of you guys take in? either during bulk, cut, or whatever. and is it ok to be avoiding sugars or can it cause health problems to have too little?
oh yeah, kind of off-topic, but i also wanted to ask about starch as a carbohydrate. i noticed some of the cereals at my house (special K) has about 20g of starch. is this good or bad? how much starch is healthy?
thnx, i'll try to give some reps

I eat a lot of CHO, about 55-60% of my diet.
Eating sugar is not the cause of type 2 diabetes. Diabetics are to watch overall CHO intake, not sugar. It is the amount of carbohydrate that really affects blood sugar levels. This is the reason GI is crap.
P.S. - Milk is great. Don't let the raw milk supporters/ lactose intolerant/ conspiracy theorists bring you down.
