Do you agree with the death penalty?
Seems like the US is the only Western nation that has it?
But then they have 330 million people.
Or should Europe just grow a pair and stop being pussies? Edit: Canada too.

Agree with most others here. Absolutely agree with it, but the waiting in line and dying of old age after 25 years is ridiculous. And I get the arguments against it as well regarding the possibilities of wrongfully accused. However I'm still definitely for it. In middle school we had a mock debate for it, and I interviewed my pastor regarding his feelings towards it. I was surprised to find out he agreed with it. Basically said, it's not a torture vessel, or even a "punishment" even though it's called that... it's an eradication. It's the complete removal of pure evil from the earth.

Yes, but I think the standard of proof needs to be raised (as in, beyond even "reasonable doubt"). I did not think Scott Peterson deserved the death penalty even though he clearly did it. Also, no 20+ year appeals.
I don't think there are any logical arguments against the death penalty aside from an innocent person getting executed, so we just gotta make sure not to execute an innocent person.
Also, Communists/Socialists deserve first class tickets to the DP!!!Republicans are weak men who pretend to be strong
Democrats are strong men who pretend to be weak

lmao. This
We need to get rid of lethal injections as well. Too expensive.
Go back to wild west. If you get caught killing someone red handed, or raping kids, give them a cig and firing squad.
Enough with these "humane" executions. You want to act inhumane towards someone life, you will not get the same leniency.

I am strongly against it.
I am not against defending myself with deadly force and I do not give a rat's ass for the life of scum.
However -- I do not think the state has the right to end anyone's life and I think our legal system is very flawed. Many people do not get the same legal "justice" as others (ie. rich/poor). I don't see why some rich rapist murderer gets to get some reduced sentence while some poor person doing the same thing is executed. Never mind all the wrongly convicted people or how stupid juries often are.
I think if someone's crime is bad enough -- lock them away, throw away the key, do not let them hurt anyone else in society. Do not give them special privileges, do not let them get married to their sicko penpals, do not coddle them, do not have the state pay $50,000 to transition them to females -- fuk 'em, put them in a dark room and give them 3 mediocre meals daily, nothing more. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

For certain crimes yes.....Im even for taking them out right now and not letting them rot in a cell for years/waste tax dollars and increase system costs.
I wish there was a way to actually make people suffer. Like for mass murders and child rapists and such that get sentenced to "135 years" or "3 Life sentences".....I wish there was a way to medically keep them alive that long just to serve out the sentence as their mind & body fail them, they're kept alive enough to feel the pain of it and forced to rot on a cold concrete floor unable to die and just lay there, unable to move, pissing and chitting themselves and just think about what they did and let it completely destroy them while they just wait for their sentence to be fulfilled so the plug can be pulled and they can have the sweet relief of death.

putting a completely healthy criminal to death is kind of waste. we should keep them alive and slowly strip them of their organs and useful body parts, give them to cancer patients and sick people who need them (eyes, liver, kidney, etc). then finally donate their heart once we've exhausted every thing else through surgery.
it sounds cruel, but i'd rather them pay for it that way than rot in a jail cell for 50 years or get a lethal injection. it's an easy way out of this world for a lot of them. the crimes they committed against society were done because they don't have any respect for others or themselves. i'm sure all of these killers and rapists hate their lives and wish they were never born anyways. make some use out of them.TEXAS REPS

Yes I agree with it, for the most serious crimes.
Unfortunately in the UK we will never have it back, despite the fact that I imagine 50% of people or more would support it.
Here, our serious criminals are released by the parole board to potentially offend again, or the most serious ones die behind bars (unusual) at great expense to the tax payer.
