    Can I do cardio every day?

    I plan on lifting three days a week but I want to lose a lot of fat also, so I really want to do cardio. Can I run on an elliptical every day or maybe 5 days a week and not have it be bad for me? And is it a good idea to do cardio before and after lifting, or should it just be one or the other? Thanks!

    if your main goal IS fat loss at this time, then cardio is gonna help, but you probably don't need to do it 5x a week. if you lift three days and do cardio on your off days, you are essentially raising your metabolism everyday and burning more calories, so you probably don't need to do it on your lifting days. rememer though, that you might be sacrificing some muscle mass with increased aerobic activity, but ultimately if you are overweight and want to lose fat there are certain sacrifices that come along with it, that doesn't mean you can't minimize it though. check out the fat loss section. some article iin there you might want to read.

    Hello, I do cardio every day, for at least 45 minutes,am I wrong in your opinion? I want to lose fat, but I fear that in the future my body can become dependent on the intense aerobics woorkout. help me please

    im currently spinning 45 minutes after everyworkout and its working alot better than doing it 2 -3 times a week., some ppl here have always been lean or have it easy to become lean they will probably not recomend that much cardio however for us who have it hard to lose pounds ALOT OF CARDIO :> and of course a good diet.

    Still... Diet is the key to get lean. You can do 4 hours of cardio each week, but if you over-eat, you're wasting your time.

    i am not fat? ... i would like to do a competion so i have to lose fat...
    anyway I will continue to do cardio work, i like it, I am well, I am drained. However, I am trying to eat a few carbohydrates ... so i can lose fat more quickly...

    If you want to gain muscles than do it in off day.
    Daily cardio exercise makes you slim but not muscular.
    off day is a good option.
