Please comment on this Lat Machine!!!

this is the very first lat machine i am gonna buy and I have been saving up for a LONG time (being 17 doesnt give me much cash lol, so i got a job!). it looks fine to me, but maybe its only flaw is it can only take 220lbs??

Two things...

1) You are much better off just getting a gym membership. Comparatively you get much more bang for your buck with a memebership. If you are short on cash... I'm sure a local Y will not be of too much money.

2) If all else fails, why not buy a chin up bar opposed to a lat-pulldown machine?

I guess... but a ten dollar pullup bar is still much better.

bro i dont think u quite understand. sure pulls ups are better (i got a chinning bar dont worry) but this machine can b usedfor other things like extending sets, lat pull downs themselves are great, also u can use it for tricp pushdowns and low pulley rows and cable side laterals. sooo many benefits, and it would ass i cable system to my 'artillery' of free weights which is versatile.

anyway, is it worth the buy??? looks fine to me!

It looks pretty decent if your plans for it are lat/triceps pulldowns, and cable rows & side laterals. I see one problem with it ... looks like those posts are Standard instead of Olympic. But if all your plates are Standard or if you don't mind buying more plates then that's fine. Sometimes you can get adaptors for the Standard size posts too. I wouldn't mind having something like this in my home weight room, but with Olympic posts.

I own one, and the only criticizm I have is that if you have long arms, you wont get a nice stretch at the top of your seated lat pulldown. I have to bend back at the hips and change the angle when I am fully extended, or the weights return to their resting position.
