I too am lacking in that department. I think it comes from having big bi's, tri's, and shoulders. I think you have to have all three to see it really good. Just building up your side delts won't do it.
    I don't know either lol

From that pic I guess you're talking about that defined you cut you see where the shoulder meets the tricep? Yea, to get that more defined work your medial delts (with lateral raises) etc

    Also, check this

    First, get lean as hell.

Then, build your front delts and upper bi's.

I would try extreme incline DB curls, and incline front raises.

    I can see it now:

Defiant1: I like front laterals for the delt/bicep tie in

DiamondDelts: I like upright rows for the delt/bicep tie in

Little Jimmy smith, age 12 105 lbs: EVERYONE knows you can't train "tie-ins". Just train heavy with Dead/Squat/Power/Raises and eat a cow a day.

    Then:

    $AJ: Food + Time - Bodyfat = Tie ins.

You know it. I have said before and I will say it again. I still believe the 80's were the zenith of modern bodybuilding. Those guys had quality mass and symmetry with minimal flaws. And you will notice their muscle-tie-ins were flawless. Now most lifters don't even know what the hell a muscle tie-in is. It's sad really.

    lying and incline laterals.

experiment with different angles where the tension begins at the lowest point of the lateral movement.

also try low angle burn out laterals (hold the weights at you sides at a 45 degree angle for a while)
