My question is this. When should I start to use a fat burner? My thoughts were to naturally lose fat w/out one until i started to plateau (which won't be for awhile, i just started.) Then take a lil bit and increase as it gets harder for me to get to my goal.

Exercise & healthy eating should work fine for you. Don't think about supps for a while. Concentrate on losing fat without them.

I agree with the first post. Use diet first. I have taken fat burners years ago. They are a huge waste of money for the little they give you. I know some other guys may disagree, but thats my take.
But since you seem in need, Ill help you out. Every other day, jog to the nearest post office and mail me a dollar. Cheaper than fat burners and will be more effective. You are welcome.

The real key to weight loss is diet but that being said there is nothing wrong with taking a thermogenic to help speed up metabolism. You just have to remember that no matter what supplement you take, you must eat a clean diet or you won't lose squat.
Some people look down on others for going that route of supplements. They have there place as long as they are short term and they supplement a proper diet. True fat loss and weight loss is accomplished only through diet.
I repeated it several times for effect, not because I wanted to be repetitive. Good luck to all in reaching their goal and dropping fat!!Beast Sports Nutrition Representative

it depends on what your goals are...
For the most part a cup of coffee or some green tea before a workout will give you enough of an energy boost....save your burner for late as possible..
And most burners are crap, the best stack for energy has and will be E/C (at least in terms of energy and fat mobilization you still have to burn it)
remember most cutting agents do very lil to your resting metabolic rate I think E/C does an estimated 2-3% which is NOTHING...you get most of the gains from mobilizing fat and increasing your energy which in theory should help partition what you burn (since fatty acids are available they are likely to be used a fuel rather then re-stored)
you still need to create a calorie defect in your diet to see results

well here is the jist. i am in a bf% comp w/ my buddy (no Mook1e i know that's not what u meant). I have a good diet built up and a good workout... I had a naturally fast metabolism until i got my desk job (two years ago). i can show u my before pics if needed. anyways... i'm ~20% right now and weighin a lil over 200. I'd like to get down to 180ish by Feb 23, but weight of course isn't a concern. And i'm only goin to take one when I begin to plateau. I'm guessing it'll be around 14%. But who knows... maybe my old metabolism my kick back into habit and i'll be fine w/out one. I just wanted to know when (not a time frame) but a sign when I should start lookin into one. Thanks for ur replies.

just my 2 cents, if you are losing fat steadily then avoid stimulants as much as you can... like mentioned before, the boost in metabolism is basically nothing, what helps is the added energy and with EC stacks the appetite suppressing effects, but as a long time user of EC and E-free stimulants, I personally recommend you avoid them...
Everybody's different, but me personally, i felt good taking stacks, i'd cycle EC then E-free stimulants then take some time off... but eventually when I tried to come off of it completely i had a crash... a major crash and a major rebound effect because of the crash... No energy whatsoever, crazy appetite and this lasted LONG...
eventually I was able to cut weight again and I learned to taper off the stacks, but when I tried to come off it again, i still had a crash even with tapering... I'm back down to a decent BF again, but this time I did it completely without stimulants and now I feel so much better... it was harder to motivate myself, but now there's no rebound, no crazy hunger pangs and no extreme tiredness... Stimulant crashes SUCK!!! It's hard but I recommend trying to stick to your own natural energy. I read about this in Arnolds encyclopedia of bodybuilding but didn't get what he meant when he said "false energy," but now i get it lol... He was right 100% in his book about that
haha, sorry so long but that's my 2 centsLast edited by likeke34; 10-26-2007 at 05:13 AM.

its true....people get dependent on stimulents (its in our nature, coffee, cigs, etc) esp when your on a calorie defect you can get REALLY dependent on stims...its not a good way to be...
Stick with some green tea before a workout and limit your total daily caffeine intake....only spend your nitrous when you really need it
(not very scientific but I don't think I need to be in this case we all know how dependent society is on coffee for example, you don't want that mentality following you into the gym)
