I shave my arms, chest, abs, quads, and trim my pubes. It's funny how all the guys say "you're so gay" or "women will hate that" and then the reaction is nearly completely opposite. The majority of them in my case anyway, thinks it's attractive where some just ask why I do it then have this weird confused look on their face. I did my legs a few times, but I figured it wasn't worth it because I only wear shorts around the house or when I'm working out, so I wear pants every where else.
I personally do it for 3 reasons::
1) Cooler - I've found that when I didn't shave before, I sweat easier, whether or not shaving the majority of my body made a difference or not is opinion, but I attribute that fact to it.
2) Shows off more definition - I think it's proven that it does in fact show off more definition. I notice a big change when I didn't shave and then now.
3) I think it looks and feels a lot better - I like the smooth feel personally, and when I see somebody with hairy ass arms I say "that's so disgusting", because in my opinion, it is. A lot of people say "If God didn't want you to have hair he would of made you a woman or whatever" but then I say "Well, if he didn't want us to have hair, why do we shave our face?" They usually don't say anything after that, but when people say that, I say it cause it's how I feel.
And besides, if you feel uncomfortable about doing it then why do it? I used to get embarrassed when people would point it out, but now it's like I do it because I body build and if it was embarrassing, I probbaly wouldn't do it anyway.
And on the subject of being called the infamous girly man. Show them to the weight room and go through a work out with them. When they are having trouble after the first 3 sets, well now you have your answer.Professional Wrestler since 2007 (Currently on hiatus)

Dudes, trim what you want, but don't touch a razor to your arms or legs. Guys don't look cool with smooth legs or arms....leave something there.
Manners are free...so use them.
It's the friends you can call at 4:00 am that matter.
TWILOMIKE, thank you for being such a sweet friend. I'll never forget you. Glitter kisses, angel.

Most women I know either prefer natural or dont mention it either way. But I also only deal with women and not young girls, I think their preferences may be different ( like girls who think Justin Timbrlake and usher are on roids) and they consider hairy a "manly man" and dont really go for the pretty boys. But to me it doesnt matter either way. I used to shave everything and look like I was doing porn, but now I just let everything grow, except for maybe plucking shaft hairs and the like.

I'm Italian & suddenly am getting hairy! I shave my upper arms/tri's,chest & abs almost down to my package & trim the rest with a medium setting. Most of my buds are team mates/jocks or full on BB's, in know some of them have no body hair below their eyebrows, the girls the hook up with with don't seem disappointed.

Do they like guys who shave their entire body? does they think it's weird/gay? do they hate it?
Just wondering.[/QUOTE

IMO A man looks hto with the hair on his legs and arms that is intended to be there. I know you guys work hard for those guns but it loks more manly with the wool. Super hairy backs and butts are gross, but don't shave them go the extra mile and have the laser done. We hate those stubbles and they come back very fast. Chest hair is really different for all women, I've heard dsome that love it but they tend to be older gals. The younger seem to like a bare chest without stubbles. We just talked about this at lunch yesterday. LOL
Whatever you decide to do,,, NO STUBBLES!!!!! And Trim the gemsThe biggest room in the world is the room for improvement.

There are as many opinions as there are people about this issue - it's very individual - no wrong or right. One thing for sure - its a hassle to shave regularly, it creates an unpleasnt stubble, thickens the hair and there are skin irritations....but is handy and cheap.
