well take it from me....stop speeding. since i was 16 i've racked up $1250 in speeding tickets. my insurance is now $8000 per year and i cant afford to drive.
1st ticket - 100 in a 60
2nd ticket - 75 in a 35
4rd ticket - 55 in a 25
5th ticket - 75 in a 45
i also got 1 accident though. it really really sucks not being able to drive, so take it from my experience man, try not to speed. i mean im lucky i didnt get caught more...i was straight wreckless (135 down the main street at midday many times). all you're doin is wastin gas really...just slow it up

Only two tickets I've gotten are 47 in a 25(huge hill) and a stop sign ticket. Those were both in my early 16s and i'm almost 18 now so I haven't been doing anything since. The fines are too friggin much.

you shouldnt have been going so fast. Anything over 15mph above the speed limit is stupid IMO. Dieing at a young age ftw! Not.
this guy was in a car crash, doesnt look too nice does it? You could be next. You might not think so but it could even happen today, tomorrow, maybe a week from now. You COULD end up dead, or in the hospital paralyzed from the neck down.
Is the adrenaline rush worth it?

Um, it's the law...
Don't you guys in America have the adverts about 5 or 10 miles an hour less making all the difference as to whether someone lives or dies?

yeah don't worry about it dude, if u jus take it in and get it paid you only have half of the points on your license. What kind of car do you have?? Speed dosent kill, people's stupidity kills, for instance goin 130 in a carrera or even a lowered civic w/ speed rates tires in proper conditions isnt really all that dangerous, but if your excessivly speeding around corners in a jeep liberty you might have some probs. (cars that were built or properly modified for speed are perfectly fine, and the only reason we have a speed limit is to generate state income a protect stupid people from themselves.)

My personal thoughts are that he speed limits on a lot of roads should be raised... and the limit should be the vechile, there are a lot safer vechiles, there are ones that will stand up in a crash a lot better, ones that will handel a lot better then others.
As for what I drive... "03 F150 extended cab short box 5.4L V8 4x4. Bought with 34k km, put 23 on in under a year. so far all i've done is intake/TB spacer/exhaust (which I later removed to straight off the headers), you?
And I should say that i'm from Canada so that was in KM/HR, so I was doing like 80 and got the ticket for like 64MPH
Truck is governed at 160, and i'm not going to chip it or do anything like that till I get out of school, don't need a blown engine on top of all my other bills.

dont go over 10 and you should be alright.
90 in a 55 is ridiculous. honestly they should have put you in jail just for that. unless it was some empty country road

yeh i normally dont speed anyway, was pissed off badly, thanks for the serious responses. to the *******s (just one actually) go **** yourself. and yeh it was a straightaway and i was the only one on the road until the cop came over the hill in the distance clocking me, i had actually slowed down a bit and was preparing to slow down completely because there was a hill and i would not have been able to see over it. yeh hoping to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

what really sucks is half my friends fly up and down that road and others all the time and have either never gotten tickets or just got warnings (some for 25+ mph over...)

Shouldn't go anything over 20 over the speed limit, unless you absolutely have to. I speed all the time, not getting caught is knowing when to speed. Also, don't speed if you're a crappy driver.

37 in a 35 is barely even legal, they have to give u like 3% incase ur speedo is off.
