Red face I need a new workout plan...please help!

When I usually workout, I lift to get that burn, that tightness that gives you that oh so sweet, yet painful soreness the next day. But evidently my way is way off from what I should be doing for my goal. I simply want to tone without putting on any extra muscle. I'm big enough. I don't want anymore muscle. Lately I've only been doing cardio because I don't know how to lift weights and not get bigger. I of course realize this is not the right or best way to go. Can someone tell me what to do?

If you want to continue improving strength while maintaining or even slightly decreasing muscular size, do so with a solid and simple strength routine.

If you want to tone up, go to the nutrition and/or losing fat sections.

Any of them! Particularly 5 x 5 variations.

Of course you could always maintain your strength and size with any kind of program, but if you wanna increase your strength efficiently without adding muscle it's a matter of being on a good program like Bill Starrs 5 x 5 and being in caloric maintenance/deficit.
