What should be in a book about fat-loss.

Well, since there isn't too many goal orientated literature about fat loss over here I'm considering writing a book about it. While dropping my 140lbs I've collected a vast amount of information to back up any statement.

The real question is, what should be in it? What is generally a topic that some feel SHOULD be included but seldom is. Something we all found out about the hard way or what is considered common knowledge to everyone here but nobody really pays attention to?

Make sure to mention that in order to lose fat, you need to eat more. I learned that the hard way when I practically starved myself a few years ago and lost all my muscle mass while my body held on to the fat. You can't really stress that enough in your book.

Also, make sure to talk about how important lifting is in order to maintain or even gain muscle. I know many people here that make threads about when they should "start lifting" after they've already been cutting for 6 months.

And have a FAQs section in there. I know that when I came here, before I even made my account, I studied the FAQs sticky like it was the bible. It was VERY helpful along with the other stickies.

Unfortunately, just because it worked for you, does not mean it will work for others.

In order for your book to be successful, you will need to have your method tested on numerous subjects to see if it works for different types of people. Once this is done, you will probably need a few reviews from well known people who agree with your method.

I'm well aware of that but there are some basic rules around that are globally valid. A personal approach is just a fine tuning of the basics and there certainly are a few common approaches that work for everybody to start off and customize along the way.
I would be a little weird to write a book about what I did and then summarize it by "now you do it".

Eat less, move more, repeat till at goal weight.
Get adequate protein, veggies, EFAs. The rest are just details.
Do so in a non retarded fashion.

I was considering making it a book instead of a post it but that does sum it up nicely.
