NBA Draft
first, props to U of I's own Deron Williams for being the #3 overall pick in this year's draft. good for you man.
ignoring the top 10 pics for the most part...
the pic that stuck out to me was #13. Sean May to the Bobcats. Not to mention the Bobcats got Felton with #5.
and already having Okafor...
this is gonna be a pretty good team, if not next year, than definately soon. Watch out for the Bobcats.

I wish the Bulls had a pick of any kind so I had something better to talk aobut than Williams and the Bobcats.
Sure, I'm happy we got Deng, but it's making my draft day awfully boring (and the depth of the 05 draft is amazing)

Bobcats
I have been an extremely loyal UNC Tarheel fan for years and now that the Bobcats have Felton and May along with Okafor it will be quite interesting. I'll be watching the Bobcats.

raymond felton would've drop in the middle of the draft if the Bobcats chose someone else
Charile Villuneva is overrated should've drop
Harkim Warrick is a smasher (but can't shoot)
Sean May is chubby
Will Bynum is probably the most underrated player if he doesn't get pick

Rob Babcock is so fired its not even funny.
I think he knew he was gunna get fired so he just drafted Villaneuva to screw the Raps over.

Yeah tell me about it. I heard that he will be starting on a ridiculous amount already. I wish I was 7 foot. Bogut got cut from the rep team in Melbourne as well lol. Look at him now

He scrimmaged my high school's team last year and did ok.
He had like 13 blocked shots but was also by far the tallest man on the court by six inches.
Nothing too special IMO. We'll see what he does though.

1)Celtics frickin got the Biggest steal in the whole damn draft. They got Gerald Green who is a athletic freak and can jump out the gym, so now they have a good core of young guys.I give the Celtics a A-
2)Rob Babcock decided to draft Charlie"I have no eyebrows"Villaneuva at number 7 which was the most stupidest pick ever. They needed a small forward ,but no whats Babcock do he goes and picks CV even though they have Chris Bosh, Pape Sow, Aroujo(bust) who all btw play the same damn position. He did kinda redeem himself drafting Graham and Ukic. I give Babcock a C+.
3)The foreigners didnt look to promising and I feel sorry for the Clippers getting that Russian Bean Pole who averaged only 3 points in a Junior league.
4)The Hawks should have traded down or traded away their 2 pick because they have Josh Smith and Al Harrington, so I dont think Marvins gunna get that much playing time.
5)Stern must have been smokin some wild ish in the back cuz he looked out of it, he phased out when he called Mccants so Mcants had to tap his should to get his attention, and he started the Draft of by saying "welcome to Madison Squeee Square Guarden.

13 blocks in any league is awesome... Do you expect Shaq to come to a High School Game and block 25 shots... if you are from Jersey i forgive you though.

I just read/heard some comments made by Andrew Bogut in which he rubbished Australia's best ever players. He said he is more of a winner than Andrew Gaze who has been to 5 olympics as a player and averaged over 30 points in his career and won a championship with San Antonion. And he rubbished Luc Longley saying he was slow and one dimensional, but he still won three champs with the bulls.
He is already getting too cocky

I dont know, those quotes were taking outta context man. Bogut's a straight laced sorta guy. He takes the piss outta americans and has a typical give it a go aussie attitude. The kid can play and look at him, the best player in America to come outta college this year.
I reckon 16pt 9 boards this year

Best Draft ever for me being a Tarheel fan and consequently being a Bobcats fan living in Charlotte. They just built a brand new state of the art arena downtown. I will definitely be going to some of the games again this season. Ray Felton was the perfect pick for the Bobcats in my opinion because they needed a point guard and Chris Paul & Deron Williams were gone. May was the best player available at the 13 spot, So its a no-brainer for that pick. The Bobcats frontcourt will be sick with Okafur and May. They will probably play a two power forward lineup or Keep Primo Brezec at the center spot and sub in May. Either way it is a nice front court. It is only the Bobcats second year so I would say they are doing damn well.

I went to the draft last night - it was crazy. Everybody was chanting Ger-ald Green Ger-ald Green before our Knicks pick was announced. I sat next to this supposed sports agent who flipped out when the Bynum pick was announced, although I asked the hot chick next to him if that was his agent and she said no.
Andrew Bogut is the next stiff, mark my words. He'll be slightly better than Chris Mihm.
Got to high five Gerald Green as he was walking out on the corridor. Everybody was shouting for him to demand a trade to the Knicks - we should have taken a chance on this high schooler. He could be the next McGrady.
Spike Lee put his head down when David Lee was announced with the 30th pick. They showed it on the big screen too. Priceless. I left right after that, got a free towel, War of the Worlds t-shirt, a free walkie talkie looking radio, and a magazine. For $15 ticket, not bad!
