Training with Big Louie - what would you ask?
Many of you know that I trained with Lou Ferrigno this past April. He was very open, honest, and friendly. I asked just about every conceivable question that Icould think of... as did he.
I just spoke to him and scheduled another training week with him in a few months and wanted to see "What would you ask Big Louie"?...

Ask him what he thought of Serge Nubret's training regime, back when he used to train with Serge.

DONT ask him about why he always lost to Arnold or why he charges for John Handcocks. He will turn into the green beast.
DO ask him how his new life is outside of bbing and if he likes his new career path in Law Enforcement. Ask him if he plans on doing any more acting since he appeared on King of Queens or whatever show that was.

Ask him about steroids.
Those and genetics are what give him results after all.

That would be less original than if you asked if he ate alot of protein when he competed.

Some pros are more than happy to talk about it with people who are seriously interested and looking for advice.
Obviously they might we wary if they think you are the type thats going to go and broadcast it to the world.

I thought I read somewhere he was trying to become a sheriff in a town.
Of course it could be false, I just thought I read that in a magazine somewhere not just BS on the internet.

When I tried lifting as much as he did, I was even LOUDER than he was. Come on people... not getting too many GOOD questions posted here. ANYONE can ask a dumb or offending question, but it takes some class to ask an intelligent one... any takers???

How does he feel about the Olympia placements this year. And since he no longer competes, what does he feel the IFBB needs to change or improve on to keep the organization strong and fan base growing.

You probably wouldn't feel comfortable asking this, but I always wondered if big Lou had any regrets that he pursued acting instead of staying focused on winning the Olympia?

Did he really deadlift 850 lbs? ( I still have trouble with that one). And why was he overhead pressing more than he was incline pressing in Pumping Iron? And third why didn't he just tell Arnold to shut up?

Ask him what type of changes he made as far as training, diet, and focus from when he was competeing in the 70's to when he made his comeback in the 90's.Also about how bodybuilding has evolved and what changes he would like to see.

I would ask this, it's a great question. He answers it somewhat in his movie "Standing Tall". He talks about missed opportunity, regret, and overcoming it.
