    pre workout shakes

    when is the best time to have them. i usually have mine 30mins to an hr before lifting, but what is the best time to wait?

    I usually have mine post-workout, if I do -- but your timing seems reasonable for pre-workout.

    Lately I've been trying more to time my meals such that one of them doubles as PWO nutrition (though that might not be as good as whey for fast protein assimilation while catabolic).

    FYI: Pre and Post WO are BOTH extremely important for protein and glycogen re-synthesis into intra muscular cells!!! You are on the right track. [thumbsup]
