I need some healthy ideas for chicken marinade...

Ok so currently I'm in my bulking phase and up until now I have not been marinading my chicken at all, just throwing it on the grill and cooking it. I'm wondering if there are any healthy recipes I might use to marinade my chicken breasts in or if I'm better off just not marinading them at all. Any ideas?

up to you.. olive oil or italian dressing work well.. marinating for me tends to soften the chicken up a lil bit.. so it makes it a bit softer..

thats my 2cents for u bro

i hooked up some delicious chicken on the grill the other day. my "marinade" is as follows

    for 6 chicken boobs

    diced onion (2-3 tbsp)
    minced garlic (1 tbsp)
    2-3 tsp ancho chilli powder
    2 tsp cumin powder
    2 chopped jalapenos
    6-10 sprigs of thyme
    5 sprigns of rosemary
    1/4 c red wine vinegar
    1 tbsp olive oil

the longer u let it set in the better it tastes, but id say let it marinate for at least an hour

Will marinading the chicken make it less healthy for me? I gues sin my bulking phase I'm not that concerned since all I'm trying to do is put on more weight but I just want to make sure I'm not making the chicken extra bad for me by marinading it ya know?

True. Eh, it's bulking anyways. Honestly I don't get to concerned about that sorta stuff unless I'm cutting so who am I kidding =]

If anyone else has any awesome marinade recipes that would be awesome =]

only if you drench the **** in oil; and lots of pre made marinades have lots of added sugars and unecessary crap

that's why i like using powders and things like the onion, garlic and thyme and rosemary to flavor it w/ all the extra sugars and ****.

the recipe i gave you only uses 1 tbsp of evoo (which is what like 14 g fat?) should be straight considering it'll be split into 6 or so servings.

i'm sure you'll enjoy it. my fam loved it

Yeah you're right about that. Split over 6 breasts I shouldn't be worried. Sounds like it's a little spicy huh? I like spicy! I'll be sure to try this out next time I fire up the grill.

I recall it being only about 15 cals a tbsp, but I'm at home and it's in my dorm room, so I'm not sure.

Well, to be honest, I don't really marinate with it, just kinda pour it on stuff before cooking, but it does really help some things out.

edit: also, I just noticed that I posted the wrong stuff. I don't use the bbq sauce, I use the jerk marinade:
