I've read over the internet that big muscles hinders the ability to perform Aikido training.
So I am looking for a sport to incorporate with Aikido, thinking of swimming, is it any good to lose fat and tone the muscles?
Or I should workout?
I am looking to lose fat and Aikido wouldn't help me much in that since it's a soft martial art style.

^This.
Large muscles will not hinder you in Aikido. In fact, they can give added protection against some techniques. Also, Aikido is a good cardio workout. Essentially, you are getting thrown to the mat and getting up over and over again, then slamming somebody else over and over again. You are in constant motion for 95% of the class.*1,000 Pound Club*
