Post Workout Poll

Question at hand? Post workout fast or sustained absorption ?

Whey - A mixture of concentrates and isolates that absorb much quicker then casein but is it quick enough?
Reason - You need a quick absorbing protein to replenish your muscles after depleting them working out. But doesn't necessarily have to be isolates

Whey Isolate - Fastest absorbing and promoting Protein synthesis but is it to quick for the muscles?
Reason - Fastest absorbing protein to get to your muscles as soon as possible.

Whey/Casein Blend - a Blend of both for the best of both worlds but is absorption to slow?
Reason - Researchers reported 20 grams of each whey and casein for 10 weeks produced significantly more muscle mass then those take whey without casein.

Probably from the constant release of proteins overtime because your muscles can only absorb so much protein at one time so if using whey what isent absorbed immediately goes to waste because your body doesn't have the ability to store protein like we can glucose or carbohydrates.

I like the idea of an Isolate/Casein Blend...Ultra Peptide fits the bill, IMO.

Do you think your insignificant number of rep points will lower my total?

You make too many ****ing threads about bull****. It seems like all you do is make a thread....make a thread....make a thread. Why don't you stop looking for people to spoonfeed you information like you are a little baby and look for **** yourself?

BTW, negs on recharge.

Thats funny that u care so much about your reps lol. Its a online Forum noone cares.

Asking people to spoon feed me? Im not looking for someone to tell me what to do? i know the information on the different choices and i've made my own educated decision about my post workout protien. I made the poll to see what the other thoughts were on this bored. What **** are you telling me to look for? How else can i get a census on the thoughts of bored memebers?

Again like i said before if you have nothing Helpful or Intellectual to say THEN DONT SAY ANYTHING.

Here if you see me start a thread, just don't come in, i really don't need your advice cause its obviously not working for you so its not gonna work for me. I don't know why your in here, you should be in the nutrition forum. Supplements wont help you unless you eat!

There have been tons of threads about this. In those threads studies have been posted proving the best option for post-workout protein sources. Instead of trying to be resourceful and find those threads you just click the new thread button and expect someone to give you information. Most of the people on this ****ing thread are brainwashed into thinking that they need WPI because it is super fast and all that other bull****, so it isn't like you will find a viable answer. If the poll is 50/50 will you make a new thread asking the same stupid ass question?

Not to mention he answered his question in his first post by citing research on Whey/Casein blends as PWO....

LOL there ya go again with your pointless useless post.

If you read my post you know idc about study s ive read all the studys and ive made my personal decision on post workout nutrition LONG AGO. I was simply trying to get a census of what other bored members thoughts were on their post workout nutrition.

Now assuming i would make another thread if i didnt get a clear answer is jsut making an Ass out of you and me. I didnt want a clear cut answer i was simply asking for a census of what people thought on this topic.

PLEASE DONT POST AGAIN. Theyre not helping this thread and your waisting alot of my time! Thank You

IF YOU HAVE NOTHING HELPFUL TO SAY PLEASE DONT SAY ANYTHING!

Again i know what i think is the most efficient Post Workout Shake is.

But i was simply trying to get a census from bored members on there thoughts on this topic!

I didnt ask anything for ME! just for general answers!

Its like you cant even post a thread here anymore without a bunch of poeple to tell you, you need to search or you need to do this or that? If you dont wanna answer or dont agree with the post then simply dont post anything its simple as that. The less you post the less time it will stay on front page right? So more you dont agree and have nothing helpful to say then the more you shouldn't post!

I bet there are a ton of bored members reading all your useless threads.

This thread got interesting really fast.

And also, just as an FYI, it is BOARD members, not BORED members.

Also, to answer your question, I like a blend of whey and casein post-workout.

Also, it's f***ing CONsensus. A census is something that is conducted to find out how many people live in a specified area.

how would casein protein be good for post workout???
it takes way longer to digest, and your body needs the protein/nutrients NOW right after your workout to recuperate because you have just exerted a **** load and is starving for them. your body can digest way faster and more than it normally can post workout, so why would you want to incorporate a protein that digests slow? you should use whey isolates because it absorbs really quick.

You're way behind. Do a little research and you'll see some new logic about this. Believe me, I used to think the same way you do.

Your muscles can only absorb so much protein at one time. Then after its absorbed as much as it could the rest is wasted. And in 10, 15 20 minutes your muscles will be able to absorb more, but it wont be there because its already been digested and disposed. Just because you can get it in your stomach doesn't mean its all gonna get in your muscles.

Also just because the whey is mixed with casein wont make it so it wont start absorbing once its getting digested it just means it digests slower, so you still get protein quickly, you just don't get as much at one time instead a constant flow of protein over a period of time. Making it easier for it to absorb it all.

This is exactly why i made this thread, to see different peoples thoughts no matter what the study s say. This is what i was looking for, not a straight answer, and def not an argument.

See although presented with good logic and scientific studys people still stick to there own thoughts. Whey Isolate is currently winning

Whey Isolate is currently winning
ok, so if thats true, then if you take a isolate/casein blend post workout, then would the isolates digest first, and then the casein would be left behind and just take longer to absorb; or would the casein in it slow down the digestion of 100% of the protein you intake??

Your first sentence is exactly what will happen, at least we hope and studies seem to support it. Added casein shouldn't slow down the isolates to any degree that is going to make a **** of difference. Even some well thought out formulas that contain VERY fast digesting proteins (whey hydro) are starting to include casein or slower digesting proteins to keep things going.
