ephedra 500mg
I still have a bottle of Sci Fit Ephedra Extract 500 mg...what does this equal in terms of straight ephedrine, like i know stacker 2 used to have 25 mg ephedrine...

No ephedrine HCL and ephedra are different. Do not use more than 20mg of ephedra at one time.

come on people! Try to understsand what he's asking!
He's not asking whether 40mg of ephedrine are fine but whether 40mg of "ephedra alkaloids" are fine. Now since that stuff he's got is made from natural ephedra I assume that ephedra alkaloids are not the same as artificial ephedrine and thus 40mg are fine. Besides, why would one serving contain 40mg of ephedra alkaloids if according to you 40mg of it are too much?
NOTE I'm talking about "ephedra alkaloids" and not "ephedrine HCL"! I know that taking any more than 25mg of ephedrine at once is dangerous.

It's basically 40 mg of straight ephedrine. To compare, Stacker2 has 25 mg. Does the SciFit brand have any caffeine or other stimulants? 40 mg of ephedrine per dose is definitely over the top.

Nope nothin else in it....I've taken a whole bottle before and it works great even stackin it...All I'm askin here is what it is compareable. I mean Sh*t I've got this Kaizen Ephedrine that has 60mg ephedrine in each cap...

well i'm confused now, earlier in the article it said this "Ephedrine HCL is a synthetic form of the CNS stimulating ephedrine group alkaloid called ephedrine."
then it said this
"Ephedrine is probably the most effective herbal alkaloid at stimulating a non-active Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS). Obesity can be directly linked to an inactive SNS. Ephedrine has been proven to increase in weight loss for obese individuals, but has no effect by itself in lean individuals (lean individuals do not need SNS stimulation, they just need CNS stimulation- put more fat in the blood). Caffeine by itself keeps lean individuals lean by keeping circulating blood lipid levels higher than normal."
so its saying first ephedrine stimulates the cns than it says that it doens't....
can someone clear this up?

almost, those were some strong ass pills and one of the reasons ephedra got banned. I would not take more than 1/3rd that amount at a time.

You're not reading the entire article.
"Ephedrine is not as good as caffeine at stimulating the CNS, but when combined with caffeine, the two work in synergy because ephedrine prevents the break down of epinephrine released by the caffeine, enhancing caffeine's CNS stimulating effects."
