He's not collecting the money. He's just going to send all subscribers e-mails reminding them to donate money to Ron Paul (ronpaul2008.com) on the 5th.

Ron Paul will: eliminate the IRS and (criminal) income tax, end the war, secure or borders, drastically reduce the government, let each state make their own laws on touchy subjects like abortion and gay rights, end the Federal Reserve System (which sinec 1913 has seen our dollar collapse in value to 4 cents of what it used to be worth), stop empire building overseas, and pull out of entangling alliances that are counter productive to US, the American citizen!
