Practice safe eating - always use condiments.

If you flushed out all the sodium in your body you would die.....so drinking to much water can kill you. You have to maintain a certain blood sodium level. Drinking alot of water will def. lower it but to much can be fatal.
Anything I say is for educational purposes only and I do NOT condone the act or use of anything illegal.

Not to be a nerd, but water can kill you, but not from too little sodium
Your cells take in water as you drink...ie they hydrate. As they do they enlarge, and in areas where there is a contained space and too much growth will cause pressure and death...your skull. Your brain cells swell and you die from too much water. It is like a gallon per hour, but hey, still from the water, not loss of sodium.

Incorrect.
When you ingest soduim, its level in the blood increases making its concentration higher that what is in the cells. The cells try to re-establish equilibrium by absorbing the sodium but also absorb water so that the cells interior doesn't become to sodium rich. That's why you're heavier after eating alot of salt.
Drinking water has the inverse effect. It lowers the concentration of salt by increasing the fluid in the bloodstream. the cells then release electrolytes like salt to re-establish equilibrium, and the fluid is eventually excreted. if you continue to ingest water the cells continue to release the electrolytes and eventually, the brain cells specifically, cease to function correctly due to the lack of those electrolytes. Look up water intoxication, or water poisoning. It's one of the dangers on a sauna. People drink a lot of water and are sweating which compounds the electrolyte loss.
As stated above though it takes a great deal of water without eating. We had a guy die from it in basic military training in San Antonio.
