I started to work out this summer, and have being getting good results. I dont have time to get to the gym, but I have bench set, and 2 adjustable dumbells. I have started to get some stretch marks on my biceps. my current routine is:
M: rest
T: chest (wide grip bench press, sometimes dumbell flyes)
W: back (dumbell rows, sometimes shoulder shrugs)
Th: rest
F: arms (barbell curls, sometimes close grip bench press)
S: rest
Su: arms (barbell curls, skull crushers)
I use enough weight that I can just barely do 10-10-8-8-6 reps, for my five sets of barbell curls.
should I only do one day of barbell curls per week? will I still gain muscle mass only working biceps one day a week?
or should I reduce the intensity when I work my biceps? less sets, less reps, or less wieght?
do vitamin E lotions, or cocoa butter actually help stretch marks, or prevent them? does anything actually help?
does the stretch mark come from the growing muscle, or the expansion while actually lifting the wieght?
before the marks were just tiny red ~1cm lines, but I just developed a really long stretch mark on the inside of my right bicep. it is nor red or anything, but it looks like I got sliced with a razor all down my upper arm. I feel like if I work out again it will get bigger and worse. I am going out of town this week, so I am skipping this weeks workout, and resting.
any tips to avoid stretch marks?

Do a search on "stretch marks" here on the forum. There's been plenty of discussion on the subject. I think the gyst of it though is certain kinds of moisturizers (did I spell that correctly?) can help the problem. But, if you're gonna grow, the stretch marks are probably gonna happen. No way around it.

If your making good gains in mass, stretch marks are inevitable,it just comes with the territory, accept it and move on.
