They were in a no win situation it seems, they could of moved him up to open again and dropped Carberry, but he's one of our leading run scorers (which doesn't say much), also shifting Root from opening, down to 6, up to 3 then opening again is never good.

I haven't been watching for the past three hours (at the gym), but it looks as of the English have been bowling better in this innings. Australia can't rely on haddin and the tail to make runs, hopefully Smith and Rogers get a few in this innings. Bailey is gone after this test, but he will be fanging for some sort of form going into the odis.
