It's not often that I complain about umpiring costing teams matches, but I would not be shocked if that ******* had money riding on an England win. Shocking LBW decision for Rogers in the first innings, Broad, no 50/50 LBWs going toward Aus (highlighted by Watson yesterday).

However, England outplayed us throughout the match - relying on 10th wicket partnerships for like 200+ runs is a disgraceful reflection on our brittle top order. I think Bird needs to come in for Starc next match, with Khawaja replacing Cowan.

Seemed like an edge to me, first thought. Sounded like a nick, there was a small hotspot. Snicko as well.

Recently I've watched lots of matches that have had that nick sound from the stumps and the ball has been nowhere near the bat. I dunno.

Shame to end on DRS. 4 more to go though lads.

The complaint is with blatant nicks (Broad fcking edged it to first slip...), you could argue that Haddin didn't realize he had hit it (unlikely though), Broad had no excuse.

Just goes to show how broken the review system is, England used it because they had it, not because they were confident it was out. Where as the Aussies stupidly used theirs on half chances early on and when Broad hits the covers off one they couldn't call for it to be reviewed.

Going through how the DRS was used all through this game you can come up with countless examples of how broken it is.

Instead of fixing mistakes like it was implenented for its causing more. The DRS should only be able to be used by the umpires, not the players themselves and it should have strict guidelines instead of "well umpire called it out so in this situation its out, but if he had of called it not out. It would be not out".

Seriously though, great test match. Can't wait till Lords.

Yea I'm glad hese the coach. I used to play against his son and I've met him a couple times. Really down to earth and good-hearted.

I tried to get autographs out of them one day and not one of the Aussie players stopped, then he did and called them back over and made them sign my shirt. I was like 11? eternal respect.
