**The Official Cricket Thread** (serious)
All right i'm sure there are a few cricket fan's out there, so this thread is to discuss anything and everything about CRICKET!!! For those who wanna learn more about the game and for those who wanna discuss up and coming matches, then this is the thread for you.
...........
Australia beat India in there 7 game 1 day series, quite comfortably aswell. Some good performances from several players, both from India and Aus. The test match is coming up in Australia soon aswell, that should be an interesting series, but I can't really see Australia losing that * no bias*

India has two humongous series coming up.
One against the arch-rivals Pakistan, which is as big as the Ashes is for England and Austrailia.
And then right after that they go to Aus to battle them.
Austrailia haven't played a test since Warne and McGrath have retired so it'll be good to see how they do. They play SL before India I think tho?

What the hell was that pakistani batter thinking?
What did they need, like 7 from 4 or something like that? And the guy knocks it straight up in the air!?
That's like being on the 2 yard line with first down and the QB throws an interception on the first play.

Yeah, should be interesting to see who the selectors go for, If they pick Macgill or not, I think the bowling line up will still be farely strong.

I think Sri Lanka got touched up by a QLD 11 so I dont know how competitive the first test will be, esp without sangakara (sp?)
Interesting to see if the Aussies can stop Murili taking Warnes record

I think Murali taking Warne's record is inevitable, Murali is a great bowler aswell and he has plenty of time on his side, he's still fairly young I think.

Australia is the team to beat!
I really hope India can show themselves well in Australia. We did well last time but it's much easier said than done.
We really reaally need 1 express bowler and 1 really good allrounder!

The other thing to watch is how Aust cope without Langer, Mcgrath and Warnie... Dont want to think what will happen once, Gilly and Hayden retire aswell

yeah it's very slow by his standard, but at least he's getting into the groove of the innings, once he get's comfortable, look out
Just noticed you are from the states, do they have coverage over there of this test match?? I didn't think the game was popular in the USA, good to see you watching

I am but I used to live in India so it's kinda ingrained into me. No man the PPV's are expensive as hell, like 200 dollars per series.
They do have a channel that's decent tho 20 bucks per month. But the India vs. Pakistan ODI is today, so their not showing the Test match. THey'll show Day 2 tomorrow tho.

bit dissapointing jacques going out in the fashion he did. Was a silly way to lose his wicket after such an impressive innings.

Hussey is a fkn machine and Clarke had an excellent innings.

agreed. Actually a shame. I much prefer a close match but the loss of 2 wickets tonight and having to face up tomorrow morning (i predict anoter wicket or 2 fall) might be a no contest

X2
Sri Lanka need a miracle, but anything can happen.
I've been lucky enough to catch all of the cricket as I've been ill for the past few days!

Yeah, Aus completey demolished SL. It's either going to be a draw or victory for Austrailia.
They shouldn't ahve dropped Malinga.

Nice, Mitchell Johnson just took his 1st test wicket, good on him, he's a talented bowler.
SL in serious trouble now.
