Should TNA or WWE decrease the number of PPVs?

there isnt enough time given to really develop a good feud. of course you can have a 2 or 3 month feud with a ppv match every month, but it gets repetive. Punk vs Morrison was great the first couple times, but after that, it was just deja ju. so would decreasing the number of ppvs to 8 a year help further progress feuds?

i wish they were every other month, but they'll never do that. it will cost them way too much revenue.

In his blog, JR hinted that WWE "management" had been discussing rather or not to drop some shows.

My guess would be, if they do it, they'd dump NYR and Cyber Sunday. Once a month is bad enough but two in some months is overkill and too greedy for their own good.

Yeah and something needs to be done with the Dec. ppv. I heard a report years ago that the McMahon's hate the Starrcade name so we'll never see that.

However something should be done to make the last ppv of the year seem special. I guess they think ppl are too busy getting ready for the holliday's so they don't bother to build it up or even put up a decent card on paper.

For sure- less PPV'S means time to build feuds between shows and more coherent storylines, of course money is more important to WWE so you get all these B shows with pointless matches.

Not only that, but we could go back to the days where a title actually changed hands on regular cable tv. THose days were great. Ah the Monday Night Wars.

WWE needs to go back to one PPV a month, 14 a year is overkill, and destroys the quality of storylines, and leads to half the PPV card being added a week before the PPV...or sometimes, on the day of the PPV.

TNA dont need to reduce the number of PPVs, just the number of gimmick matches on each PPV. Makes there PPVs feel cheap, like the matches NEED the gimmicks to make them appeal.

I'd also like to see some "special" shows on free TV (no, not Saturday Night's Main Event), similar to "Clash of the Champions".

4 or maybe 5 main PPVs a year, with 3 or 4 PPV level special shows on free TV.

Longer fueds less pay per views let em build up like the old days, I wouldn't mind seeing another fued like that of Slaughter and Brisco
