Rabies
I just got some really nifty news. Saturday M was unknowingly exposed to rabies. This is just friggin nice. We've had unprotected sex no less than 6 times and probably more. The part that really F-ING sucks is M called our family doctor and they didn't call her back. They have to order the shots in for us both. She has been given the pre-exposure shots as have I, but this really really BLOWS!! If the doc gives her any **** tomorrow, there's gonna be hell to pay!!
I could use some good medicine right about now.

I had a rabies scare a couple years ago and had it explained to me what I'd have to go through if the animal was positive. I can't say I feel your pain, but, yeah, it sucks. You both have my sympathy.

Well I got the first post exposure today, my titre was a little low from the pre exposures so they're doing the shots on me just to be safe. M's titre was good. I'm still temped to go slap my GP once or 5 times just for the hell of it. I think I got 2 hours sleep last night.
Any of you with kids need to heed this warning, kittens might be cute and cuddly, but they can unknowingly be deadly. Talk to your kids about strays as this is a nightmare from my point of view! I couldn't imagine what a parent would go through. This is my second time with being exposed, I was attacked when I was 8 and had to go through the old in the paratenium, those were NOT FUN!
