Smile How much cardio?

Ok I need some suggestions. I am trying to loose some fat, but maintain muscle. Right now workout schedule looks like this:
2-3x's a week I teach cardio-kickboxing that is 45-60 mins class (My HR stays between 145-165 the entire class).
2-3x's a week of interval cardio on elliptical or on the street (30-40mins)
(I usually only do cardio 5 times a week total)
4 days of strength training (split between upper/lower body) I do this before cardio if its a double duty day.
1 day of functional training.

Does this look like a good plan? Am I doing too much cardio?

Thanks in advance

it all depends on how much weight are you trying to lose. And how is your dieting?

But for the cardio...always do different cardio exercises each time you workout...to keep the body guessing.

No one can really tell you what's too much, since we're all different. Since you teach aerobics classes, you're probably well-conditioned, so you'd be burning less calories than someone of your exact body type and composition who hasn't done a cardio class before. I can generally get away with doing a lot of cardio without losing muscle, and I need to do a lot to lose fat. But some people can get away with just 20 minutes a day. You'll just have to keep track of your measurements and body fat.

Thanks. Yeah I do think I am pretty well conditioned to cardio; in fact I know I am. I have ran 4 half-marathons before and teach kickboxing. I try to do lots of interval training so that my body is more efficient in cardio exercise. Its just hard for me to figure out how much I need to do without overtraining.

To answer the above questions... I am only looking to loose probably 5-10lbs, or maybe less depending on my bodyfat. I am at aout 20% right now and would like to get to 17-18. My diet is clean most days...i usually have one cheat meal a week, and maybe one other treat throughout the week but other than that I keep track of my cals, protein, fat and carbs on fitday.
