back from my first show...
I'm back from my first show this season, and all went well... I took Novice Overall, and Open Overall, as well as the best posing award. I'm waiting on the good photos from the show, but here's one from after the show...
I weighed in at 205 lbs...it was the NW Arkansas Show

Really impressive man, good job! And wasn't this your warm up show? It's a sign of good things to come for sure.

yes, it was my warm up show. It was actually the very first show I've ever done. I did it to get rid of the nervousness for the bigger shows. Thanks

Nice job Baam!
I'm a former Arkansas native myself. I live over in OK now.
I'm surprised they let you do the Novice AND the Open class. The OK NPC won't let you do both in the same show. You have to pick either Novice or Open, and once you do the Open, you can't go back to Novice.
Regardless, nice job on your wins!

Dude, congratulations on your placings!!! You set a positive example for those that are looking to get into bodybuilding - your attitude, diet, workouts, etc. Hope you continue posting, as I think that there's a lot for people to learn from your regimen. Again, congratulations and good luck in the future!

thank you all for the replies. Yea, now that I won the Novice Overall, I can't compete in a novice class again. But that's okay. Hopefully I can advance enough to move up with the big boys! lol

I think you're there, Bro. Not a bad haul for your first show. Great job!

I'm not exactly sure on all the measurements, as I really don't care how big my biceps are as long as they are symmetrically in balance with the rest of my body. I'm 5'9 and stepped on stage at 208lbs. if I remember correctly. I'm hoping my trainer will pull me down as a lightheavy in the next 2 shows though. But we'll see... Thanks for the replies.

I'm sorry. I meant nothing by that comment!! I just mean, all that is important to me is that all body parts are equal. I don't want a big upper body and small legs. So I don't keep track of those things. I've got a ways to go, but I'll get there.

No need to apologize! I know that it's far too easy to get caught up in measurements and lose track of important things, such as symmetry, as you mentioned.
I was only curious because it's hard to get a sense of your true size from looking at a picture on a computer monitor!
