how to prevent a stall

Hello,
This is my first post and i would like to say i LOVE this site. Very helpful people with beautiful bodies everywere.

I have 30lbs or so to loose. I am starting clean eating today and watching my calorie intake. How do i prevent a stall in my weight loss efforts?

Thanks,
M.Blake

The main thing that I do is change up my training routine every few weeks to prevent my body from stalling... plus it helps keep up the motivation. Good luck and welcome!

Yes.... keep changing up your workouts every few weeks. Your body can become accustomed to the same thing, over and over. Also, don't eat the same thing every day... just like you need to "trick" your body with changing workout routines, do the same with your eating.

Don't hang on too long to a plateau. I was doing HIIT for about 6 months (20 mins 5 x week). About 4 of those months I was on a steady pleateau..... Darn! It finally took a friend of mine who is a personal trainer to tell me to stop doing HIIT and simply pick up my cardio sessions to 40-45 minutes. That was the key! Although HIIT did help with my endurance, it sucked for dropping bf. So, essentially, i wasted 4 months from any body fat loss!

Have you read Tosca Reno's "Eating Clean" book?

Wishing you the best!!!!
