Hey guys, I've been posting a lot here and decided to tell my story (so far). June 24th, I decided to change my life forever. I was a chunky 255 pounds, high blood pressure, borderline diabetic, daily migraines, and just heading towards a short life. I originally started it after getting dumped, kind of as stress relief, but it eventually led to a desire to be a healthier individual and live a longer more satisfying life. I'm sure my story is similar to others and I hope this serves as motivation to do what I did and more. My goal is now ~200 pounds and 10% body fat. I have a long path ahead of me, and I know this, but I'm looking forward to the challenge!
Anyway, here is me around June 24th.

This is a special pic to me because it was my "best" pic. It was the picture I used for myspace and ******** because I looked the thinnest.
And these pictures were all taken in the past week or two. 195 pounds or so, that's -60 pounds. I'm now at around 20% body fat instead of 35+%.

I apologize if it looks like I'm pic whoring, but I promise I'm not. For the first time I can remember, I like taking pictures and I'm proud of what I've done, and I know this is just the beginning. Best of luck to you all. I will start a journal soon and I'll explain how I did everything relatively quickly. Feel free to PM me until then and I'll let you know.
Regarding my health, glucose levels are perfect, I haven't had a single headache let alone a migraine since June 24th! Blood pressure and all the other blood work came back great!

Thanks, when I first started I lost weight REALLY quick (poor nutrition and way too much cardio, no lifting). Then I realized I was LOSING muscle mass and did things the right way (about a month into it). I lift every other day and do an hour of cardio every day. If I don't have time for an hour I"ll run 3 miles, about 35 minutes.
I don't think I've lost much muscle because I am stronger in every lift, although it's likely I lost some in the beginning. My body was way outside of its "comfort zone" and so that explains the rapid weight loss I think. I was averaging close to a pound a day earlier in the process. Now it's down to 2 a week at most.

nice job, how tall are you? I'm starting my journey now, i'm still around 270lbs and 5'9..not healthy at all. Posts like this are just inspiration to keep it up though. so for your cardio what machines do you do? and do you go the hardest you can or stay within the designated "fat loss" zones on the machines?

thanks, I really hoped this would help inspire others!
I jog around 3 miles a day or do the eliptical for 50 minutes if my shin splints are acting up. I don't think the "fat loss" zones are any good, I just keep my heart rate at about 75-80% max, around 150+ for me. I don't trust the calorie counters or the "fat loss" zones, too many variables.
Lol all the pics are San Antonio, Texas. Best advice I can give is get in good with a sorority!!!
