What would be the difference in standing lat pulldown and seated lat pulldowns if you did them both very strict. I know that you could use more weight standing if you cheated through the movement.

not really. because when your cross your bodyweight on pull downs with nothing to hold you down, you will end up doing pull ups not pull downs.
The body is lazy, unless you give it a reason to grow it won't

nobody in the world, no matter how strong he is, can do a standing lat pulldown of more mass than he weighs. If he weighs 150 pounds, it doesn't matter if he can pulldown 800 pounds with a brace holding his legs down. He will yank on the bar and the force he pulls with will pull his body up towards the handle instead of pulling the bar down.
Think of it this way: it takes 150 pounds to lift his body off the ground, and it takes 800 pounds to pull the handle down to move the weight. When he pulls, which will happen first, will his body shoot up or will the cable move?training seriously since September 2007
