Pizza, like anything else, depends on how it is made. We have a place here that makes the crust with whole wheat flour, uses fresh tomatos as the sauce, and fresh vegetables and lean meats for the toppings.
If pizza is made in the traditional way, it is loaded with olive oil as the fat. To make the statement that all pizza is evil is akin to saying that all chicken is good (KFC anyone)...The internet is equalled only by public education and network news in its ability to spread disinformation at an alarming rate...

Places like Dominoes, Papa Johns, and Pizza Hut as well as local joints in your town like "Romanelli's Pizzeria" contain very fattening cheeses and high sodium levels from the sauce. In addition if the crust is not made from whole wheat dough and you get toppings like Pepperoni or Sausage it is even worse for you.

In college my roommate worked at Papa John's. He always brought home pizzas each night for us to eat. At first I held myself back from eating them, but eventually I gave in and thought, "I'll go into a bulking phase, lift hard and eat whatever I want."
Net result: I gained a lot of weight, both muscle and fat.
I was the strongest I'd ever been, but I also had the highest bodyfat percentage of my entire life. It took me a LONG time to burn off that fat. It wasn't worth it. I'll never "bulk" uncontrollably like that again."What is important is to keep learning, to enjoy challenge, and to tolerate ambiguity. In the end there are no certain answers."

A Recipe
here is a recipe for a good BB Pizza
1 cup rolled oats
2 tbls flaxseed meal (or oil if u eliminate 2 egg whites)
4 egg whites
2 tsp Baking powder
Fresh tomatos
fat free cheese of your amount and choice
Crust:
Grind the rolled oats into a powder using your food processor. Then slowly add the egg whites and flaxseed substance and baking powder. Stir it untill it becomes dough-like. Then refrigerate for an hour and pull it out.
To cook, spray 0-calorie cooking spray on a cooking sheet and make a crust out of it to your desired thickness(duh). Cook at 300 degrees for 15 or 20 min. pull it out, let cool. Dice the tomatos and throw on the cheese (add toppings of choice). Then just put i back in untill it looks done.

one slice of a large hand tossed pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut is:
265 calories 9 g fat 19 g pro 27 g carb.
That isn't terrible.
If you have one slice to kill the cravings, it won't **** up a cutting diet. Do a search on here too cause there are a ton of healthy pizza recipes.
If you're bulking, just justify it once in a while as "**** it, it's calories" and ****ing enjoy, man. Or do a little cardio the day after pizza to make sure you don't get too fat.If you've never been lean, you're not bulking. You're just fat.
