Ok...here it is 4 weeks out. Thought I would have my posing trunks by now...but maybe tomorrow. Figured I would have some pics taken anyways. Not the best poser yet but I am really going to have to buckle down and get it right. Will post more as I get them. Any advice is appreciated.

I dunno if you were sweating or oiled up... but your arms look good, they're just glared out in the pic... but overall, you're definitely lookin' fantastic...

You look great! Now you need to really show off all that hard work. Competition is part smoke and mirrors. Posing. I've been blown off the stage by men that had lesser physiques. They just knew how to pose their body...inflate their chest, somehow widen their back/flare their lats, etc. It took me years to learn the tricks as posing did not come natural to me. Find someone you TRUST to tell you the truth and move your poses countless diffrerent angles until they say..."that's it...perfect".

LOL, isn't that the truth Trish? I could have kept plying Pam with the wine and she wouldn't have noticed or minded! Maybe. LOL
Seriously, batts, that picture from last summer really shows your hard work and dedication. You looked nice then, but there's a huge difference between then and now."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7

Battery - I agree completely with Baldsnake! My trainer saw my pics from the last show and told me I could have easily placed top 5 (I placed 7th) if I had just presented myself better. I started practicing nearly 8 weeks out and I still didn't really get the jist of it. I figured out how to do the correct mandatories and to present myself in a flattering light, but stage presence was nonexistent when the time came. You have to look like you've been there before and exude a wealth of confidence, something I failed on. And as Baldsnake mentioned, you really need to work with someone who knows how to do it properly, no sense practicing what you think might be right as you could end up engraving in your mind the wrong way to hit a certain pose. If you can't present yourself properly, all your hard work will be for naught.

What a difference a year makes, batts! Looks like you went from good to great, going by those pics! Get your poses set like Baldsnake and Mr. S said, and I bet you'll kick some ass at that competition!

Thanks Kezz...I am hoping it helps out some of the people at the Cardiologist place. Told the doc what I am doing...I have a pacemaker that was put in when I was 34. Doc says to many people just kinda give up after having one put in. Make a point to show them to get off their butts and get moving. No matter what age...we will see.

Looking good so far, the best advice I can give you is to get the "perfect posing" video.
Learn and practice the mandatories for at LEAST 30 minutes each day for the last 3 weeks.
If you're not comfortable with a fancy routine, find a decent tempo smooth song and walk through the mandatories, holding your strong poses slightly longer and your weaker ones for a second or two.
Make sure to open and close with your two strongest poses.
Conserve motion, practice this at least m1/2 dozen times a day for the last two weeks and on the last friday at least a dozen times
that way, when the night show comes, it's instinct
for your 60 second prejudging routine, the same poses, same order, hold for a couple of seconds each
make sure you get them done
better to be done 10 seconds early, than get time called on you
after all the practice, you'll be very comfortable with the routine
any other questions, feel free to pm me(learned a LOT from the last two shows), and visit the competition forumlift big 2 get big

Thanks godjoey...For my supplements that I have been using...it is Blue Rhino that was being tested. Check out my log in the Supplements section under the Supplement logs, there is a Batteryrequired Blue Rhino log.
Thanks for the info ctg...been practicing the past couple of nites...helps already. Also a friend from in here sent me a tape on posing that is a big help. Wife is helping me out with this as I want to get away from the mirror as much as possible at times. I did find some great slower electric guitar music by Van Halen that I will be using. It will work out great for me. I put on the Hot Stuff instant vasilodator tonite to see how that works on me....Wow does that bring it all out. Not sure if I will need the Cytodyne Tarax. stuff at all. I will be bugging you for sure on tips as the day gets closer. Being the first time...will be interesting for sure.Double T Sponsored Athlete!!!!
