How did you arrive at the diagnosis of a torn foot ligament? Was this diagnosis made by an examination by an Internist or by an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in foot injuries? Did they perform imaging studies (ie, x-rays, MRI, etc) to assist in making the diagnosis? If evaluated by a physician what was there recommendations to expedite the healing process?

Rather than take a defeatest attitude, perhaps you may wish to confer with an Orthopedic Specialist who focuses primarily on foot injuries. For example, I had an injury to the instep of my foot resulting in my limping for weeks. I was told by several doctors this would be a persistent problem. However, I consulted with an physician who specializes in this area and he provided me with orthotics in my shoes resulting in the dissappearance of my painful symptoms.

It completly depends on how you injured your foot. What did you injure, what was the mechanism of the injury (aka how did you injure it?)

That doesn't tell you a whole lot. Basically all the doctor has done with the x-rays is rule out a break.

Go to an orthopedic surgeon. They'll know what's wrong, and what you can do about it.

Yea your gonna have to go to the Orthopedic. Your going to get a MRI and from there you will know whether you'll have to get surgery or not.
