Velocity Diet VS Lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss System
I'm 6'0, 200 lbs, and about 20% body fat. I've recently gained a couple pounds of muscle so I'd like a hard-core diet that won't negate my gains but will allow me to get lean relatively quickly.
I've noticed an awful lot of people of all shapes and sizes on this board swear by the Velocity diet, so I can only guess that it's pretty damn good. However, there don't seem to be many people who have reported doing Lyle McDonald's PSMF diet on this board. I read the book, but that doesn't really give me a good feel for how it compares and contrasts with similar diets. Hell, even on the correpsonding PSMF bodyrecomposition forum, there don't seem to be many people who have posted success stories using it. To be quite honest, this troubles me a little.
Between the two, which one would be better at preserving LBM? I'm having trouble figuring out what path to go down. I'm not real muscular, so I'm placing the preservation of what little LBM I have, as a priority.
