I, personally, believe cardio (or working out in general) on an empty stomach to be unhealthy, but the opinions vary greatly.
Anyway, I also work out in the morning. At night I put frozen strawberries and blueberries, oats, flax seeds, and some water into a blender. The berries are thawed by morning and the oats and seeds are quelled (which some ppl believe adds health benefits to oats.) I add protein powder, milk (cows or soy), Udo's flax seed oil, hemp hearts and wheat germ. Some days I only let the berries thaw and don't add oats till in the morning because I like the texture of unquelled oats, too.
