Bench Press Competition : Any tips?
I'm doing a bench press competition in about an hour.
As many reps as you can get with your bodyweight.
any tips

An hour? And you're sitting at a computer?
Uhhhh......
Step 1, get off the computer.
Step 2, I hope you have fuel in your body.
Step 3, get loosen up with some slow paced walking on a treadmill.
Step 4, don't worry about the other competitors, challenge yourself and only yourself.

Why can't I be on my computer?
I just had my meal, and am actually eating some more oats and resting before the competition.
Thanks for the reply, reps.

Well... you certainly can be if you want and it works for you, but if it were meeeeee (and it isn't) I would be at the location loosening up, getting focused, and doing whatever I had to do (probaly dropping a duce!) beforehand.
Good luck!

id get a fairly decent warm up set in, maybe 6-8 reps of 135 to get the juices flowin about 3-5 minutes before the big lift, get some stretching in on all 3 body parts that are in the bench press (tris, delts and pecs) and get urself amped up. How many reps have you done at your body weight before?

p.s.
This is harder than it sounds if you haven't trained for it. Even you can bench >225-250 with ease for reps you might find this tougher than you'd think. Many times I force myself to do one last set of bench using 185lbs even after going heavy to see how many reps I can get. I always wanted to hit 25 reps, but could only get to 23 at my very best.

For the under 225 weight class, I think it was 35 reps @ 175.

This kids a freak. He's probably 5'10", 175, with 17"-18" arms with probably 4-6% bodyfat.
I could have sworn he was 190+, by the way he looks.

Geez he does sound freakigh. He's roughly 3 inches taller than myself, roughly the same BF% (I think, gotta check) and arm size, yet weighs less? I would have though 190'ish as well.

15 reps at 190 lbs isn't bad at all im 5' 10'' and about 175 lbs and i do about 150 to 20 reps at 190 lbs so i would not be discouraged....especially if it's naturally aspirated......
