How long does creatine stay in your system?

Hey guys, I took a serving of creatine on two consecutive days (I had to stop for personal reasons), and the last time I took it was 6 days ago. I still seem to be experiencing water gain from it. Is this normal? How long does extra creatine normally stay in the system?

I'm going to guess that you started taking creatine, saw the scale go up, got scared, then quit.

The water weight will drop in a matter of days.

Actually, no. I knew to expect the water gain. My stopping was related to some other factors. I was just curious about how long this "side-effect" would last, as if I'm not taking creatine, I'd like to at least return to my original weight figure to see whether my training is still producing results both in the mirror and on the scale.

Give it three to four days.

    what were the personal reasons?
significant other call you out on the roids?
Live for the crazy stuff. Bodybuilding is great, but what are you going to remember, another gym workout, or hearing a band you love live? Don?t let bodybuilding interfere with your life.

LOL, close, actually. Instead of the significant other, it was the parents. I live with them ATM, and didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to explain to them why lifting harder is a good thing and why water weight doesn't mean much.

You do know there is science disproving it right... Granted, not very concrete studies.
