P-Slin 10 day sample log

ok so today i will begin the sample bottle of USPlabs P-Slin that i scored over at bodybuilding dungeon thanks to board rep dexterium

some information about the product can be found here
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/usp/pslin.html

as i said i was supplied a 10day supply, however, tosha and i leave for the cruise on sunday morning so the last 4 days dose will be on the cruise, but i will continue training so i should still see a good run on the log as a whole

i will be taking my first dose in about ten minutes and will 'officially' start the log tonight and report on the workout, etc.

my diet currently looks like this

workout days
p-175
c-220
f-60

non w/o but cardio
p-175
c-220
f-60

rest day
p-175
c-195
f-55

training split is exactly as laynes power/hypertrophy training seeing as how i am working with him and all! lol

it goes

day1: upper power
day2: lower power
day3: rest/cardio
day4: upper hypertrophy
day5: lower hypertrophy
day6: rest/cardio
day7: rest/cardio

tonight begins with day 1 and i will take my first dose in about 10 minutes or so and report back tonight!

go time

day 1

took pslin this afternoon before my 4th meal right before i leave for work

unfortunately i didnt get to the gym til about 1 hours after this meal, its the fastest i can do considering i work downtown and take the bus, its somewhat out of my hands

it was upper body power day for me which looked like

cable rows 3 sets
one arm db row 3 sets
db incline press 3 sets
pec dec 3 sets
db shoulder press 3 sets
db curls 2 sets
cable pressdowns 2 sets

for the full workout see my training log in my sig
or here http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...1#post85125533

notes:

noticed no real affects as of yet, however i had an 'extra' eagerness to hit the gym hard tonight, could be due to many things

pumps were good, and i would say slightly better than usual especially in my back where i usually dont get too much of a pump

im sure time will tell and we'll see what happens for legs tomorrow!

What is your pre-workout meal?
Normally P-Slin is taken 15 mins before the pre-workout meal and then training around 1-1 1/2 hours after this meal.

1c oats
1scp protein powder (beverly ump or matrix)
-some other carb source to achieve about 75g total carbs

i just took my dose of pslin today and will eat shortly before i leave work and will train in about 1.5-2 hours tops

todays preworkout meal is

1c oatmeal
1scp matrix
1c organic cheerios (trader joes o's)

day 2

workout was lower body power today, again for the full workout see my training log

looked like this

squat
leg exts
straight leg deads
standing calf
seated calf

notes:

weight was down a pound today and i definitely looked better than yesterday, abs were more visible.....its probably just water as i had a cheat meal on sat and i tend to hold water for a bit due to my bodytype

workout was strong, squats felt good and i really wasnt too fatigued after each set, this i can possibly attribute to the pslin as this is the heaviest i have squatted since about 3 weeks before my show, which would be about 5 weeks total (more like 5.5......semantics)

like i said, feel/look pretty nice and full so maybe its starting to kick in

tomorrow is just rest and some cardio in the eve, im curious how i should dose pslin on my rest day as i dont have any meal in which i would particularly meet the suggested 60g carb 15min after dosing

i could shuffle my diet to accomodate this, maybe one of the usp reps can give me some insight before tomorrow as to how to properly dose it as i could probably take in a larger than planned breakfast and take the pslin upon waking?

day 3

today is an off day which means REST! but i will do some HIIT cardio tonight after work

took my dose of P-slin this morning first thing before eating my breakfast which I structured to meet the carb requirements 15min after the dose, just like on workout days

being that it was the buttcrack of dawn and i was tired, i didnt really 'feel' any physical effects, but i took a look at myself in the mirror today and yet again looked a bit fuller and surprisingly a bit tighter as well, some of the more conditioned look i would think can be contributed to loss of water retention, but again, i can only hold so much water so i think pslin is certainly having an effect on muscle fullness and most likely very potent nutrient partitioning effects

im pretty excited to see what happens tomorrow as i will have upper hypertrophy day which allows higher reps and i typically burn through this workout with some nice intensity so hopefully all those factors will allow me to report more effectively on how this product stacks up as far as "pump" is concerned

Sounding good. Pre-workout meals are looking good.
Yes the P-Slin is great for muscle fullness and when higher repping in the workouts the pumps are excellent.

day 4

day 4

today was upper body hypertrophy

workout was:

cable row
bb row
db pullover
machine high row

db incline press
db flat
cable crossover

shoulder db press
side db laterals

db curls
cable curls

overhead rope exts.
cable pressdowns

notes:

today pretty much sucked earlier bc i began getting sick while at work, the achy, stuffy headed sick, which sucks....

i wasnt expecting a class A workout til i got home, i felt alot better once i got home and already felt nice and full from the pslin+preworkout meal at work

as for the workout...WOW pslin has definitely kicked in and kicked in hard, throughout my back work, nothing major, but once i hit my chest exercises, it was on like donkey kong, straight up looked like you blew my chest up with air!

the pump-fest continued with shoulder and arm work, as i did db curls i saw some freaky deals that i rarely got precontest! im talking about veins coming out of my chest and shoulders, very visibly not to mention the circus balloon effect in my arms as well

best part? i weighed in about 3lbs heavier today yet in terms of body composition i look harder and fuller and as far as im concerned theres no way its bodyfat as the diet has been clean as a whistle and on point

lets see what tomorrow holds......

day 5

i had to workout this morning due to scoring some free tickets to a show tonight so tosha and i trained at 5:30am when the gym opened to accomodate that and be able to attend

first for the workout, as always, see my training log for complete details

lower hypertrophy

squats
leg press
leg exts.

stiff leg deads
standing single leg curl

standing calf
seated calf

notes:

IMPRESSED -- is the only word i can really use to describe what im seeing from this product, let me preface my update by saying this, im not one to rave about any supplement simply bc i dont see any supplement make huge impacts on a physique (natural ingredients) therefore, this has taken me off guard

first of all, last night, well after my workout we were at home and tosha commented on how 'big' i looked, probably bc my upper body was still pumped from the workout

next, my weight yesterday at the end of the day before my workout was another 3lbs or so up, so i weighed myself this morning expecting it to be much lower as it typically is in the a.m. or the same at best............so to my surprise was i another 2lbs heavier! i almost fell over........i have never in my life seen a supplement do such a thing to my body!

as i stated yesterday, i was starting to get sick, which im still rather 'foggy headed' today, so im not even at optimal workout capacity right now and my workout rocked, especially considering i had to wake up at 4am on only about 4.5hrs of sleep when im used to around 7........go figure (although in fairness, i took 3 redline this morning just for a kick, even though i have no thermos currently in my supp regiment)

regardless of energy, the muscle fullness and pump i experienced this morning can be attributed to nothing other than P-slin, having legs, i figured it would be a pretty good test bc i dont think ive ever had a pump in my legs.........well that changed after squats and leg presses and i flexed my quad only to find it absolutely drilled with blood, very tight and full

also, during my workout, i couldnt help but continue to 'check out' myself, noticing that my ARMS were pumped during a leg workout! not to mention very hard and full in the chest, shoulders and arms

bottom line and ill finish my rambling, i am impressed with this product now for sure and im curious to see how the nutrient partitioning effects work with my 'diet' for the cruise as im sure that it will be less than clean (in moderation however)

personally i have a feeling that it will not only help deter any weight gain, but also make for some good 'pump' workouts on the cruise

again, very impressed and waiting to see how it finishes out..........i would be curious as hell to see what would happen if i used anabolic pump again in conjunction with this product

day 6

took pslin this morning first thing and only cardio, nothing of real significance felt today but thats to be expected, also my weight was down about 4lbs, so i think my fluid levels were playing games with me this week, also could be due to some glycogen depleted....who knows

im leaving for my vacation tomorrow morning and will update for the rest of the week when i get back

days 7-10

these were all during my vacation, and i did workout on the cruise ship

workouts were good, but mostly full body, or upper/lower circuits so there wasnt really heavy enough weight to gauge a pump, but energy was good and workouts went well especially since my diet wasnt exactly optimal lol

final thoughts

overall i thought this product certainly worked well, especially as for nutrient partitioning and really filling glycogen stores

pumps were awesome when i had them and certain times weight just felt like it wasnt there

in terms of body composition, i would say it certainly has positive effects in body comp when the protocol is followed properly and obviously with proper diet and training to amplify these effects

i would definitely buy this product and when i have some extra cash lined up, i very well may try to purchase the pslin and AP as i would be very curious to see the results of that stack, being that pslin worked rather well for me

i would like to thank dexterium for the free sample bottle to run with and i look forward to more usp labs products to try in the future!
