You should take a look at some of the stickies in the forum - lots of valuable info on weight loss and dieting.

Yes, it's okay to have fruit on a diet. If you're trying to lose fat, what matters is that you're buring off more calories through daily activity and exercise than you are eating.

I eat fruits, but I've cut out flour. It's really helped me lose bodyfat.

Fruit is just like any other food on a diet....moderation is the key. I seriously doubt grapefruit and bananas are going to wreak havic on your goals. Grapefruit is actually great for you and boasts the metabolism. Bananas can be hard on the digestive system but if you are doing a lot of cardio have great sources of potassium which is needed to refuel your body after long cardiovasular workouts.

I agree. Fruits are great and have a place in a well rounded diet. I doubt anyone got fat from eating too much fruit.

I agree with all of you. The only fruit that I steer clear of is dried fruit, and that's only b/c of self control. If a dried apricot is the size of a walnut, and I eat 10 of them, well... I just ate 10 pieces of fruit in 15 minutes!! I can't stop once I start eating them

fruit

i think its fine. grapefruit has almost no calories and bananas are good for potassium (decreases muscle cramping). just try to eat them early in the day.
