If you have a weak rotator cuff, gtfih (plz)!

I need some advice from anyone who has (or has had) a similar problem to what I have. Simply put, I have EXTREMELY weak and unstable shoulders (my right more so than my left, but both are bad). In the last 6 years I have dislocated my right shoulder 17 times (the most recent one being last Monday) and my left shoulder once. The dislocations occur under the most casual and ordinary of conditions. My shoulders have popped out in my sleep, from sneezing too hard, from stretching too hard, from pulling the stop cord on the bus, and even from someone taking my hand to help me up from the floor. After having undergone numerous medical consultations, tests (which included an MRI) and endless amounts of physio, I've basically been told (by more than one doctor) that I'm SOL. Surgery is not an option, as the MRI showed no actual tears or lesions in the muscles or ligaments that could be repaired with an operation (the only conditions under which the last specialist I was seeing would agree to operate on me).

So basically, I've been told my only option is to do physio for as long as needed, and to just "learn to live with it" (which is pretty much what I've been doing this whole time). But as a result, making progress in the gym for upper body training is becoming almost impossible. It's not that I don't have the strength or that my strength isn't increasing (it is; I'm actually very strong for my stats), but I can't progress beyond what I've been doing for months now, as my shoulders are just too lax and unstable to support any other upper body exercises beyond what I'm already doing. I'm still cutting at the moment, but once that's finished, I would like to attempt a slow, lean bulk and add a bit of mass. But I'm doubting more and more that will even be possible due to my shoulders' current condition.

So yeah... just wondering if anyone who's experienced anything similar can give me any ideas or suggestions on what to do or try (that's not already listed here)? After dealing with this problem since 2003, I'm literally at my wit's end.

    Thanks!

my shoulders aren't great either and i often worry about them. do you normally do upper body stuff on a bench? if so maybe switch to the floor.. you won't get quite the full movement but you will get the shoulder support you desperately need.
also if you don't do these id start.. but you prolly are if youve gone to rehab and what not.
