my teacher told my class that dr atkins wife had an autopsydone do prove that the cause of his death was not the atkins diet. the results showed that his veins were 40-60% clogged(which is a reallly bad thing)
comments? so is it bad to follow high fat diets such as atkins and keto?

Who says he followed his own diet all the time? I doubt he did. Plus, your teacher probably heard this on the internet, don't take it too seriously.

thats a lie. before i started low carbing i had an artery scan and my aorta had some build up in it. after low carbing for two years i had a thyallium test done and it showed my arteries were completely clear. it actually reversed my heart disease.

Wasn't he in his 70's when he died? Can't really hold his diet at fault at that age. Also, just because he created the Atkins Diet doesn't necessarily mean he followed it.
On a side note, I think that the Atkins diet is horrible for bbing. It was created to help those who were too lazy to do physical activity lose weight. It's a fad diet.If you were a hotdog would you eat yourself?

There's no proof of anything. Besides, he was 72 and had been following his diet for a few decades, it was about his time to go anyway. You could eat the healthiest diet ever, longevity is about genes.

That is correct a late winter ice storm. He walked to work every morning and slipped and fell- kind of a freak accident sort of like what killed Sonny Bono. PETA (which is funded by Mayor Bloomberg) put out the bogus story shortly after Mayor Bloomberg and Dr. Atkins widow got into a public fight( Mayor Bloomberg was making jokes about Dr. Atkins death and his widow defended her husband and Mayor Bloomberg got mad).Originally Posted by ratmonkey
