I just started doing barbell rows with an underhand grip and I'm also doing overhand, therefore I'm doing both every week. I was reading around people being able to pull more weight underhand than overhand. I currently did 185x5 underhand after not doing those for months. I do 225x5 overhand because i do those often. Should my underhand be stronger or should I just go with it?
I don't want any imbalances in terms of strength.

I know I can definitely pull more underhand. I usually use both. First 2-3 sets overhand, then underhand for the last heaviest set. It's not a HUGE difference, but enough where I'm confident in saying I can pull more with the under grip. Bringing Bi's into the equation more I think helps.

Yes the under hand grip(yates rows) use biceps more because of the supinated hand position.
Always use straps with both styles to eliminate as much arm out of the movement as possible after all your after back muscle with them.
I personally don't think there is an imbalance factor even if you can do more with one or the other.
It shouldn't be that much of a difference.
