it reduces the amount of lactic acid buildup in muscles, so you do more reps without pain. It also makes the cells swell, thats why you need to drink copeous amounts of water to fill the cells, thus you get bigger. I drink a gallon a day. Your body naturally produces creatine and it is found in small amounts in some food, but like anything when you exersice alot, you need more.

hey nice threads guys ur kinda hoverin on the right lines.
basically your body runs on enegery systems , but mainly for bodybuilding and weight trianing we use our PCr system (phosphocreatine) this provides energy via resynthesis of ADP to ATP. Now in order to do this your body has to have a supply of P and Cr. Your body already contains within reason an endless suply of P but lacks creatine by taking creatine you are increasing teh amount stored in your body therefore aiding the production of engery , thus leading to higher trinaing potential before the threshold of the PCr system is reached and your body starts to use the lactic acid system which as its name sugests creates pyruvic acid , which if not mixed with oxygen will turn into lactic acid and cause both pain and fatigue.
so by increasing the threshold of your PCr system you can and are able to train for longer or at a higher intensity than normal before fatigue sets in.Train hard , train smart. Eat hard , eat smart.
