Kava is a good herb for relaxing, but not for focus. Id recommend piracetem, lecithin, fish oils, ginko, bacopa and rhodiola.

Try starting with fish oils and ginko. They are the cheapest, so if they work, you won't need to spend more on the others.

ALCAR has always worked well for me. Some other good supps to take for relaxation and concentration are: kava kava, piracetim, phenibut, and green tea (at least for me).

Dont forget about caffeine. Out of all the nootropics I've tried, none have helped me as much as caffeine. Omega Sports Power Jolt is a good combination of caffeine and some of the other supps mentioned in this thread.

if your looking for short term brust of 'focus power' they make energy drinks called monster they are laced with ginsing (sic) and caffeine...highly recommend them.

for long term, drink lots of water (dehydration and fatigue fighter), multi vitamin, ginsing (sic) and a balanced diet.

I've always wondered what (sic) means written like that. What does it mean?

What he probably heard is that vegetarians can benefit from creatine supplementation even if they are not 'bodybuilders'. There was a study done that showed improved mental function in vegetarians taking creatine versus a group who did not. I'm sure Google can lead to more informaiton.
