    where do have my 1st protein shake of the day

    Guys I'm currently bulking and I'm not sure where to have my first protein shake of the day. I work from 7am-5pm here is eating schedule.

    Meal 1-6:30
    Meal 2-9:30 (currently taken the 1st protein shake here)
    Meal 3- 12:00
    Meal 4-2:30
    Meal 5-(small for pre-workout) 5:00- then I take my omega thunder hit the gym by 5:30
    Meal6-Post workout shake and chicken

    Should I take my first protein shake at 5:00pm before my workout or keep it at 9:30am which would be better thanks?

    It doesn't matter at all. In fact, unless it's postworkout, you're better off having whole food sources of protein rather than a protein shake.

    It seems you have a bit of learning to do on the general idea of bodybuilding dietary guidelines. Read the stickies.

    yea, backinthejox is right, your main calorie source should be from real food, except for like post workout, where you want whey protein, it digests fast. In addition, with some carbs, simple carbs (considering your bulking), because they are already in the broken down form that your body takes in (glucose) and complex, which I use oatmeal in my shake; thus to replenish your glycogen stores. Back to your question, I usually have another shake in the day because of my schedual, if I don't have time to prepare a meal.

    2 shakes a day

    As soon as i wake up: 1 1/2 scoops ON whey
    1/2 cup oats
    1 cup water
    Little cinnamon
    1 splenda packet
    1 tbsp Flax seed oil

    Shake 2:
    Whey + oats (want to aviod fats right after workout)

    other 4 meals are real whole meals
