Getting off BC

Question to ladies who have gotten off the pill....
How long did it take you to get your period back? I got off the pill about 7 weeks ago and still have not had my period. I am not worried about being pregnant, just wondering if this is that unusual. I have gotten pretty used to having a regular period each month since I was on the pill for the last 5 years and my BF certainly isn't low enough to stop my periods...

As far as I know, if you were having your period, while on the pill, then you should have it when you stop taking it. I stopped taking the pill about 10 months ago and had my period as normal.

Perhaps some of the other ladies have more information.

When I got off the pill, I had terrible changes. I got my period but it wasn't regular and sometimes skipped a month.

How long have you been on the pill? Your body may take some time to get back on track.

It's not unusual. It may take your body and hormones some time to get back into your natural pattern. I know women who've had trouble getting pregnant when first coming off the pill for the same reasons.

I had irregular periods when I got off the pill. It finally straightened itself though. And now my periods are back on track like clockwork. Now I am just afraid what will happen when I go back ON the pill.

If it goes another 2 weeks or so with out showing up... I would at least give your obgyn a call
